Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineering Project Leader with a focus on planning and managing application projects in the automotive industry. The role centers on drive systems or sub-systems of the mechanical drivetrain for electrified or conventional vehicles. You will coordinate cross-component and cross-domain activities across GKN divisions, suppliers, and serve as the engineering interface to the customer for mechanical content.📍 Location: Our site in Oleśnica🏠 Work Model: HybridKey Responsibilities:Technical Project Ownership Independent planning and management of mechanical development projects from concept phase to series production readiness Technical leadership of international teams, including coordination and guidance Technical support in project acquisition (feasibility assessments, proposal input) Project & Resource Management Preparation, regular review, and maintenance of development, activity, and time plans Resource and project cost planning for own projects or in coordination with higher-level program management Planning, controlling, and reporting of project efforts (workload) and resource usage Clarification and resolution of priority conflicts across teams and stakeholders Communication & Reporting Regular reporting of development progress and results — internally and to the customer Presentation of problem-solving analyses and proposed solutions, when necessary Qualifications & Experience Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable field Minimum 3 years’ experience in the automotive industry, preferably in project management for electric drive systems or transmission development Excellent written and spoken communication skills Proven project management experience What We Are Looking For Strong communication skills and experience in organizing heterogeneous teams Proactive working style and strong initiative Confident presence in customer meetings and presentations Knowledge of tools: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Microsoft Project or comparable (Planisware / Easy Redmine advantageous) Travel Requirements Willingness to travel on business approx. 6 times per year Our BenefitsGKN offers the option to join (at your own expense): Private Medical Care – Medicover Group Life Insurance – WARTA Employee Pension Program (PPE) – available after 2 years of employment Additionally, employees can benefit from: Holiday bonus (80% of base rate, proportional to service) Company-sponsored integration events Tuition reimbursement up to 50% Language courses (English, German) Access to LinkedIn Learning Option to purchase a Multisport Card Christmas and Easter bonuses
