Profile : Candidate must be local to Gabon Master's degree (Bac+5) in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.Professional certifications such as API 580 (Criticality-Based Inspection), API 510 (Pressure Equipment Inspector), API 570 (Piping Inspector), or ASNT Level II/III qualifications in Non-Destructive Testing (ultrasound, radiography, magnetic particle testing, etc.) are considered.Job Description: The Mechanical Integrity Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and safety of industrial assets by guaranteeing their mechanical and structural integrity. They supervise and coordinate the inspection, assessment, and monitoring activities of pressure equipment, piping, structures, and critical installations, in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. They lead the implementation of risk-based inspection (RBI) programs, analyze observed degradation, and recommend corrective or preventive actions to prevent any failures. In collaboration with the maintenance, production, and HSE teams, they contribute to optimizing integrity strategies and extending equipment lifecycles. 1- Planning and Supervision of InspectionsDevelop, plan, and supervise integrity inspection programs covering all assets: pressure equipment, piping, tanks, pipelines, and structures. Provide technical guidance and support to inspection teams during on-site interventions.Define and update inspection strategies and schedules based on the criticality and risk level of the equipment.Ensure timely completion of inspections, high-quality reports, and relevant technical recommendations. 2- Risk-Based Inspection (RBI)Collect technical documentation for various equipment and organize it in the document database.Implement, monitor, and optimize the Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) approach to prioritize assets according to their probability and consequences of failure.Collaborate with process, maintenance, and production engineers to adjust inspection frequencies and target critical areas. Ensure the continuous updating of RBI databases and the consistency of assessments with lessons learned. 3- Integrity AssessmentsSupervise and interpret visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), corrosion monitoring, and thickness measurements. Analyze the results to detect degradation, estimate remaining service life, and recommend repairs or replacements. Participate in the validation of repair plans and monitor their implementation. 4- Compliance and Regulatory RequirementsEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (API, ASME, ISO, local regulations).Maintain technical and regulatory awareness of integrity and safety standards.Prepare the necessary documentation for internal, external, and regulatory audits. 5- Failure Analysis and ReliabilityConduct or participate in failure analyses and incident investigations (RCA, FMEA).Identify root causes and propose corrective and preventive measures.Capitalize on lessons learned to improve the overall reliability of equipment. 6- Data Management and ReportingEnsure complete traceability of inspections, assessments, and maintenance actions within integrity management systems (CMMS, AIMS, CMMS, etc.).Analyze trends, interpret integrity data, and issue summary reports for management.Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to asset integrity and reliability. 7- Continuous Improvement and OptimizationIdentify and implement opportunities to improve inspection methods, tools, and processes.Participate in operational performance initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving availability, and mitigating risks. Contribute to the digitalization and automation of integrity activities (predictive inspection, data management, AI, etc.). 8- Technical Leadership and Skills DevelopmentMentor, motivate, and develop the skills of integrity inspectors and technicians. Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and technical rigor within the team. Participate in the recruitment, training, and certification of inspection personnel. 9- Cross-functional CollaborationWork in close coordination with the maintenance, operations, HSE, and engineering departments. Integrate inspection results into maintenance plans and reliability strategies. Provide technical support and expert advice to other company entities.
