Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

On behalf of our client, a leading industrial production company in Evia, Greece dedicated to operational excellence and continuous improvement, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal performance of production lines and auxiliary plant systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing maintenance activities, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and supporting the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment within the facility.Responsibilities:Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on production machinery and auxiliary systems to ensure optimal and reliable operation.Maintain accurate and detailed logs of maintenance activities, inspections, and mechanical failures.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and support continuous production flow.Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, company maintenance standards, and HSE procedures.Monitor equipment performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective or optimization actions.Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and collaborate effectively with the broader maintenance and production teams.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field; a Master’s degree will be considered an asset.Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.Proven experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and auxiliary systems.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment operation.Excellent understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices, safety regulations, and HSE standards.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across departments.Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple maintenance priorities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.BenefitsAttractive and competitive remuneration package.Private health insurance plan.Additional company benefits.
