As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.Anduril Australia is seeking team members to diagnose, inspect, repair, refurbish and test Autonomous Underwater Vessels (AUVs, Robot Submarines!), continuously improving System reliability performance.What You'll DoPerform routine inspection, repair, refurbishment, overhaul and upgrade of AUV mechanical systems and equipmentDiagnose mechanical issues, conducting component and subsystem-level tests, collaborating with engineers and other trades to resolve complex issuesOperate the Maintenance Management System (MMS), ensuring accurate records of maintenance activities, parts and consumables consumptionConduct underway Sea testing of AUVs leaving factory or maintenance environmentsSupport development, review and trial of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for AUV maintenance activities operationsAssist with the preparation of risk assessments for maintenance and test operations, identifying and implementing mitigationsProvide constructive feedback to design and manufacturing teams for ongoing evolutionBe able to be deployed to the field to perform emergency repairs when necessary, potentially in challenging conditions or adverse weatherSupport customer representatives in gaining skills and experience to support fielded AUVsRequired Qualifications & Attributes4+ years experience in maintenance of mechanical system or structuresStrong mechanical aptitude and hand-tool skillsVocational training in mechanical trades or associate degree idealTrade background in Maritime, Automotive, Aviation or equivalent high-tech industry.Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, equipment schematics etc.)Experience performing component, subsystem and system level test and diagnosing/escalating issues discovered during these processesExposure to operation of Maintenance Management SystemsMaritime/forklift/crane qualifications desirable, not essentialExtremely organized and detail-orientedExcellent verbal communication skillsA sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative cultureAbility to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security ClearanceHealthcare BenefitsThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
