Job Title: Mechanical Quality Assurance (QA) InspectorLocation: Leixlip, KildareJob Type: Full-Time / ContractDepartment: Quality / Mechanical Engineering / ConstructionReports To: QA/QC Manager / Project Quality ManagerJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Quality AssuranceInspector to oversee and verify the quality of mechanical installations on a largescale Tool Install semiconductor project in Kildare. The QA Inspector ensuresthat all mechanical work is executed in compliance with project specifications,national regulations and international quality standards. This role is critical indelivering safe, code-compliant, and high-quality mechanical systems for theclient.Key Responsibilities: Inspect and verify the quality of mechanical installations, including pipingsystems, HVAC equipment, ductwork, valves, supports, and associatedcomponents. Conduct walkdowns, audits, and inspections at various stages ofinstallation. Review and ensure compliance with project specifications, mechanicalcodes, and industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO). Check and sign off on installation records, test sheets, redline/as-builtdrawings, and handover documentation. Liaise with mechanical supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors toaddress non-conformances or quality issues. Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with Health and SafetyAuthority (HSA) regulations and site safety requirements. Participate in quality control meetings and contribute to continuousimprovement initiatives.RequirementsQualifications & Experience: Qualified Mechanical Technician or Engineer; additional certification inQuality Management is advantageous. Minimum 2-3 years' experience in mechanical QA/QC roles on industrial orlarge commercial projects; Semiconductor Tool Install experience is a plus. Excellent knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and best practices Experience with mechanical testing procedures and documentation control Strong attention to detail and familiarity with quality control systems andprocedures (e.g., ISO 9001). Competent in reading technical drawings, P&IDs, and QA checklistsDesirable: Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification Experience in regulated environments (e.g., semiconductor, pharma, data centres, or cleanroom projects) Proficiency with digital QA platforms and reporting tools (e.g., EIDA, BIM 360, or similar)Working Conditions: Site-based role with regular inspections in active constructionenvironments. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eye wear, hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and respirators. Must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces where activity inspections are needed.
