Our retrofit automation platform turns commercial turf-care and utility equipment into fully autonomous systems, combining AI-driven precision, embedded control, and rugged design.If you love building hardware that moves, learns, and performs in the real world, not just simulations, this is where you belong.What You’ll DoDesign and prototype electro-mechanical subsystems, actuators, linkages, mounts, enclosures.Develop and tune embedded firmware for motion control, sensing, and safety.Integrate sensors and electronics (encoders, IMUs, cameras, power systems).Collaborate with AI and software teams to connect low-level hardware to our autonomy stack.Get hands-on in the field, testing, debugging, and refining machines that operate outdoors.Contribute to manufacturing-ready designs and documentation (DfX, wiring, QC).What You BringDegree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Robotics Engineering.Strong C/C++ firmware skills (STM32, ESP32, or similar).Experience with mechanical CAD (Fusion 360 or SolidWorks).Understanding of control systems, kinematics, and sensor feedback.Comfort working with motors, drivers, and communication protocols (CAN, UART, SPI, I²C).A builder’s mindset, you prototype, test, iterate, and get things working.Bonus PointsExperience with hydraulic or cable-driven actuators.Familiarity with ROS2, model predictive control (MPC), or AI-based autonomy.PCB design and system integration experience.Field robotics or outdoor automation background.Why Bright AutonomyBuild the hardware brains and muscles of real autonomous machines.Work alongside a small, elite R&D team where your impact is immediate.Be part of a fast-growing deep-tech startup tackling autonomy, AI, and advanced manufacturing head-on.Ready to help real machines think and move?Send us your portfolio or a quick note about what you’ve built, we care more about what you’ve done than where you’ve been.
