AVORA Health is currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Receptionist in our Balance & Dizziness Center. It is a multi-discipline medical office in Asheville, North Carolina. The ideal applicant is a friendly people person and a team player. This person must also know how to multi-task efficiently while making patients feel welcome and taken care of. This position will require you to juggle a variety of tasks and requires ambition and good time management skills. Experience working as a front desk receptionist, admin staff, or as a medical biller are a plus. The ability to learn quickly is also a plus. Strong preference is given to candidates that have knowledge or experience in related processes, including how to verify insurance benefits, manage authorizations, and Medicare. Attention to detail is imperative. Cross-training opportunities exist for those who have dedication and the willingness to learn.Primary duties include greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling patients in EMR systems, running payments through multiple systems, verifying insurance benefits, communicating with insurance providers, collecting co-pays and deductibles, applying payments, and other general office work.
