Medical Copywriter – Germany (Hybrid)Role Overview The primary focus of this role is to create impactful promotional communication content and develop market access materials. As a brand expert, you will have the ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, engaging, and compliant promotional copy — always adhering to medical, regulatory, legal, and compliance guidelines. Your mission is to make the complex simple by adapting comprehensive materials into concise, reader-friendly content across digital and traditional channels, while ensuring scientific accuracy and appropriate referencing.Creativity, innovation, and problem-solving should be at the core of everything you do.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and update content for a variety of commercial assets with a strong focus on omnichannel execution across digital platforms (e.g., banner ads, emails, sales rep materials such as iDetail aids, social media, and websites) as well as print materials (e.g., posters, slide kits, patient guides, sales aids, leaflets, and conference collateral).Ensure that all content complies with German medical, regulatory, and legal standards, as well as client-specific policies, supported by authentic and up-to-date references.Experience working across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) is a strong advantage.Collaborate closely with the graphic design, brand, and production teams to deliver high-quality copy aligned with creative briefs, workshops, and campaign goals.Occasionally contribute to creative ideation and moving-image projects at the campaign level.Adhere to departmental best practices across project management, documentation, communication, and technical standards — including language, grammar, style, content research, summarization, and referencing.Participate in client meetings, training programs, and internal assignments as required.Leverage and oversee the use of AI tools to generate accurate, relevant, and compliant content.Uphold standards of quality, confidentiality, and security, ensuring adherence to all quality systems, processes, and policies.Ideal ProfileEducation: Degree or Master’s in a related healthcare or life sciences discipline (or equivalent qualification preferred).Experience: Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a creative or agency environment working with pharmaceutical clients.Regulatory Knowledge: Awareness of German pharmaceutical advertising regulations, including the Arzneimittelgesetz (AMG – German Medicine Act).Therapeutic Areas: Familiarity or intermediate understanding of rare diseases; experience in respiratory & immunology, cardiovascular, renal & metabolic, or oncology is a plus.Tools & Platforms: Experience with CRM systems such as VEEVA is an advantage.Writing Skills: Demonstrated passion and talent for writing, with strong conceptual thinking and solid knowledge of the digital landscape.SEO Expertise: Experience in SEO copywriting, combining keyword strategy with compelling, action-oriented copy, is highly desirable.Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal presentation skills; a client-focused mindset with a talent for building long-term partnerships.Professional Attributes:Up-to-date with scientific and technical advancements relevant to your work.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content.Experience within large multinational or matrix organizations is preferred.Language Requirements: Native-level German communication skills (written and verbal) and strong proficiency in business English.Work Setup: Hybrid working model – remote/home-based with occasional travel or office visits as required.
