The Institute of Experimental Medicine (IEM) - Microbiome Platform – Anaerobic culturing branchThis position is within the group led by Pr. Mathilde Poyet (Institute of Experimental Medicine, Evolutionary Medicine Department) in close collaboration with Pr. Mathieu Groussin (Institute of Clinical Molecular Biology, Genetics & Bioinformatics Department) and Dr. Corinna Bang (Institute of Clinical Molecular Biology, Immunogenetics and Bioinformatics Department), at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein. A flagship initiative of our group is the Global Microbiome Conservancy (GMbC), through which we built a worldwide cohort of human populations spanning diverse genetic backgrounds, diets, and lifestyles. This unique resource, together with clinical cohort data, enables us to address fundamental questions in microbiome ecology, host-microbe co-evolution, and the microbial contributions to chronic diseases.Start in our team:We are looking for professional and competent support in our lab to start 15th January 2026, limited until 14th January 2028 with the option of extension.
