It's flexible and fits around client needs and staffing requirements, meaning you will never be bored and no two days are the same. Expect a minimum of 30 hours per week, with opportunities to work both weekdays and weekends.

At least 1 year of solid industry-specific experience in the caregiving industry Valid Home Care Aide (HCA) registration with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) - including completing a Live Scan criminal background check and a TB ScreeningMust be at least 18 years of ageHigh School Diploma or GED preferredFlexibility is key, so you will need to be available to work both weekdays and weekends based on client needsA positive, respectful work attitude - we are all about building a supportive environment hereA valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with current automobile insurance coverageCompletion of 5 hours of initial training required by California law for all new Home Care Aides (training must be completed within the first 90 days of employment)Communication skills - We love team players who can connect with clients, families, and fellow caregiversAbility to remain calm, compassionate, and professional in high-stress situationsAbility to read, write, and speak in EnglishAbility to follow both oral and written instructions and complete tasks as assignedMust maintain confidentiality of client and agency informationMust maintain a professional appearance and proper hygiene at all times - no exceptionsMust have a positive, respectful work attitude and maintain professional boundariesYour Responsibilities in a Nutshell:

Deliver high-quality care services as outlined in our clients' care plans - from personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing) to meal prep and housekeepingAct as a mandated reporter of suspected abuse or neglect of dependent adults in accordance with California lawReport any changes in a client's conditions or needs to management in a timely mannerBe a trusted companion - offering emotional and social support to clients so they can live independently and safely in the comfort of their own homesMaintain client confidentiality at all times, adhering to HIPAA and other confidentiality lawsHelp with mobility, fall prevention, and exercise routinesProvide medication reminders (without administering meds, of course!)Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and respectful demeanor with clients, families, and colleaguesHome Care Aide Duties:

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as specified in their care plan, including but not limited to: Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming)Locomotion, ambulation, and fall preventionMeal preparation, feeding assistance, and nutritional supportBed mobility, positioning, and range of motion exercisesToileting, continence care, and dressing assistanceMedication reminders (Note: This is not to include the administration of medication)Light housekeeping: cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, linen changes, and organizingLaundry, including washing and folding client's clothing and beddingSocial and emotional supportSupport for client independence and safety through monitoring and companionshipPerks of Joining Memory Lane, LLC:
