Apply today!Position SummaryThe Mental Health Technician (MHT) is responsible for primarily serving as a one-to-one observer for assigned patients while securing and maintaining a safe environment for the patient under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). When not assigned to the observer role Patient Care Technician duties may be delegated to the MHT. This position reports to the Workforce Management Manager.Education/ExperinceA minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievementOne year work experience with children and adolescents seeking psychiatric treatment preferred.Qualifications Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, Medical Assistant (MA) certification, or one of the following:A nursing student or LPN who has completed fundamental nursing skills courseworkAn Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificationOther QualificationsComplete hospital-provided de-escalation training program within 6 months of hire.Salary Range: Minimum 22.00/hour - Maximum 22.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
