Role details The Food and Linen Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Menu Monitor to join their team on a temporary basis.For information on how to apply and the mandatory requirements for this role, please refer to the attached Role Description.Your opportunity To assist in the provision of a high-quality nutrition and food service to Mackay Base Hospital consumers.To provide leadership to Food Services staff and participate, co-ordinate and supervise in the provision of a high standard of service by ensuring all established policies, practice guidelines and standards are maintained.About The TeamThe Mackay Base Hospital provides a comprehensive healthcare environment that has been designed with a patient friendly approach to layout and location of services. Food Services plays an important role in the provision of a 7-day week service supporting the delivery of quality and cost-effective health service through the provision of nutritional meals to patients.Food is prepared using a Cook Fresh service model under strict Food Safety Standards (FSANZ) and the Queensland Health Nutrition Standards for Meals and Menus. Food Services currently produces and provides over 18 000 meals and over 6 000 sandwiches per month, while additional services are provided to patients through means of three daily mid-meals.About Our Hospital And Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
