If you are committed to delivering high-quality civil draughting solutions, have excellent communication skills, and are eager to add value to diverse building projects, we encourage you to apply.Key Responsibilities – MEP Draughting and Technical Drawing in Civil EngineeringPrepare accurate and detailed MEP drawings using AutoCAD or similar drafting software for civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.Interpret and review architectural, structural, and MEP design documents to develop coordinated drawings for construction and installation.Liaise closely with project engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to understand requirements, incorporate feedback, and resolve design discrepancies.Facilitate the selection and specification of MEP components, providing technical input to support product/system choices.Contribute to the preparation of as-built drawings, documentation, and project hand-over packs.Participate in technical meetings and site visits to verify conditions and ensure the accuracy of drawings.Support project sales and business development by demonstrating technical expertise and confidently communicating solutions to clients.Ensure all drafting work adheres to established safety, quality, and regulatory standards at all times.Remain current with latest technologies, software, and best practices within MEP draughting and the civil engineering sector.Required Skills – Technical Knowledge, Communication & Selling in Civil MEP DraughtingProven technical proficiency in using AutoCAD and other MEP drafting tools within a civil engineering context.Solid understanding of MEP systems (plumbing, HVAC, electrical) and their integration into civil structures.Strong selling skills with the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, supporting business growth.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting, coordination, and client interaction.Strong organisational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.Attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in technical drawings and documents.Problem Solving and Analytical Skills – Essential Traits in MEP Civil DraughtingDemonstrated problem solving capability in resolving design or coordination issues during the drafting process.Proactive in identifying potential challenges and proposing innovative, practical solutions.Analytical thinker with the capacity to evaluate data and drawing requirements from a variety of sources.Qualifications & Experience – MEP Draughtsman (Civil)Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field.Minimum of2 years’ experience as an MEP draughtsman or in a similar CAD-based civil engineering role.Sound knowledge of current civil, MEP, and construction industry standards and codes.IT literacy, including experience with major drafting software and MS Office tools.Experience working with multidisciplinary teams within construction, engineering, or consulting environments is desirable.Personal Attributes – Collaborative, Quality-Focused, and AdaptableEthical, dependable, and committed to upholding a high standard of accuracy and quality in all drafting work.Collaborative, inclusive, and respectful in working with diverse teams and client groups.Self-motivated and eager to continue learning about new MEP drafting technologies and industry advancements.Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
