Company Description Indonesian non-ministerial government departments (NMGDs) carry out governmental tasks in the fields of Meteorology, Climatology, Air Quality, and Geophysics, adhering to applicable laws and regulations. The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) is focused on monitoring and understanding weather, climate, air quality, and geophysical conditions to provide accurate and timely information. This plays a vital role in disaster preparedness and environmental protection in Indonesia. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Meteorologist, located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Meteorologist will be responsible for analyzing weather data, monitoring severe weather conditions, and providing accurate weather forecasts. The role also involves conducting research in meteorology, climatology, and oceanography, as well as interpreting and reporting on geophysical data. The Meteorologist will work closely with other team members to ensure the dissemination of critical weather and climate information to the public and relevant agencies. Qualifications Meteorology and Climatology skillsSevere Weather monitoring and Oceanography knowledgePhysics background and understanding of geophysical principlesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team and adapt to a dynamic work environmentExperience in weather forecasting and climate research is a plusBachelor's degree in Meteorology, Climatology, Physics, or a related field
