Job Description
Role Objectives:The Mid Mile Category lead will be responsible for overseeing a specific category and tracking all branches within that category. Their main objectives are to ensure the timely and complete delivery of orders without any rejections, as well as to address any issues that may arise within their assigned category. Additionally, they are responsible for providing daily reports to the Dispatch Team Leader, keeping them informed of the operations and performance within their category.Roles & Responsibilities:Oversee specific categories within the dispatch operations, ensuring efficient tracking and managementEnsure smooth coordination of dispatch operations, including receiving and prioritizing orders, assigning drivers to routes, and tracking deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillmentSchedule work shifts, assign tasks, and closely monitor staff attendance to maintain optimal coverage and productivityFoster effective communication with all departments involved in the dispatch process, promptly addressing and resolving any issues or challenges faced by the team.Monitor and optimize workflows to enhance efficiency, minimize errors, and streamline operations.Conduct weekly meetings to discuss key points, address concerns, and facilitate collaboration and coordination among team membersPrepare and provide daily reports to the Dispatch Team Leader, offering comprehensive insights into operational performance, challenges, and achievementsServe as a central point of contact for communication and collaboration between different departments, such as warehouse, transportation, customer service, and operations, to address any issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure efficient workflowAddress and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the dispatch process, such as delivery delays, route changes, or customer complaints. Act as the point person for troubleshooting and decision-making to ensure smooth operations.Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:Bachelor's degree.Understanding of dispatching procedures, including routing, scheduling, and trackingKnowledge of relevant transportation regulations and compliance requirementsFamiliarity with inventory management systems and softwareExcellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage dispatch operations for multiple branches effectivelyEffective problem-solving skills to address issues and discrepancies promptlyStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, including dispatchers, warehouse staff, and FPs StaffTime management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesAnalytical skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve efficiencyAdaptability to handle changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
