Our inclusive, vibrant community offers excellent facilities and a supportive, collaborative environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach English Language and Literature to Middle and High School students, following IB standards. Design and deliver engaging lessons that develop reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills. Foster a love of literature and language through inquiry-based learning and creative projects. Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners and challenge students at all levels. Assess and track student progress regularly, providing feedback and adapting teaching methods as needed. Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning experiences, including writing platforms and multimedia resources. Actively contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programs, such as debate clubs, writing workshops, and literary events. Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities aligned with the IB philosophy. Mentor students, guiding their personal, academic, and social development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians on student progress and development. Ensure teaching aligns with IB inquiry-based learning and school values, promoting curiosity and a passion for language. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:A university degree in English, Literature, or a related field, with a recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching English to Middle and High School students, preferably in an international or IB school. Familiarity with IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP), and inquiry-based language education. Proven ability to create a dynamic, engaging classroom environment that fosters creativity and critical thinking. Proficiency in technology integration to enhance English instruction through digital tools and interactive platforms. Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (basic French is an advantage). A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with colleagues across multiple disciplines. Flexibility and adaptability in a multicultural environment. A commitment to professional development and keeping up with educational best practices. A solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for inspiring students to explore and love language and literature. Willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities, including writing clubs, drama, or literary competitions.
