Middle-Platform Engineering Lead

Role SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Middle-Platform Engineering Lead to design, build, and lead the technical architecture of our Credit Middle Platform. This role will focus on developing scalable, reliable, and reusable systems to support the end-to-end credit lifecycle — including assessment, disbursement, repayment, and marketing operations. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in credit systems, a strong foundation in backend architecture, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration across product, risk, and operations teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the overall architecture design and technical roadmap of the Credit Middle Platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business goals.Design and develop core middle-platform services such as credit limit service, payment gateway, marketing campaign engine, user center, and accounting/reconciliation modules.Drive service modularization and standardization, defining reusable components, service specifications, and API documentation to support multiple product lines.Oversee system performance optimization, stability, and risk management to ensure high availability, concurrency, and security of core services.Collaborate with product, risk, payment, and operations teams to deliver efficient and compliant technical solutions.Lead technical reviews, release validations, and iterative system improvements across the platform.Mentor engineering team members, ensuring adherence to best practices in architecture, code quality, and scalability.Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.10+ years of experience in credit, payment, or middle-platform system development and architecture.Strong understanding of credit business logic with hands-on experience building systems such as credit limit engines, accounting hubs, or payment gateways.Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot microservice architecture and familiarity with Python for data processing or integration.Deep expertise in distributed system design, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), caching (Redis), and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).Strong system design and decomposition skills, balancing scalability, reliability, and performance.Excellent English communication skills with experience working in cross-functional, cross-regional teams.Passion for fintech innovation, with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and technical leadership. Candidates with the below experience and skills would be preferred:Experience in large-scale fintech companies or SaaS-based credit platforms.Knowledge of risk-based pricing, credit limit systems, or market systems.Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines).
