As a fast-growing retail brand, we’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our People & Culture team at our Markham head office. Position OverviewAs an HR Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting daily HR operations, employee communications, and administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, people-focused, and eager to grow a career in Human Resources.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with recruitment efforts including posting jobs, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews Maintain and update employee records and HR databases Support onboarding and offboarding processes Help coordinate training sessions and staff communications Prepare employment letters, contracts, and HR documents Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures Assist with payroll prep and time-off tracking Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in all HR-related tasks Qualifications1-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Strong organizational and multitasking skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Familiarity with HR software or payroll systems (e.
