In this role you will be responsible for:Safe blasting of underground excavationsDevelopment of waste and reef footprintEnsuring a consistent mining cycle for blasting cleaning and support of working areasEnforcement of mine standards and procedures, ensuring that the workplaces are safeMining operation (production) – Conduct daily entry examinations, risk assessments, marking off supportIdentify the reef band and mark the face as per geological reports, and charge up the facePlan and coordinate mine activities in line with targets and objectives and stick to a workable productive mining cyclePersonal Management and Crew control – Supervision of team and management of performanceCommunication of mining plans and allocation of responsibilities to the crewAbout you:Grade 12Blasting CertificateAt least three (3) years’ experience working in an underground mining environmentBoard and Pillar, Trackless Mining experienceAccurate and timeous completion of assignments (results driven)Proficient in English written language, with excellent report writing skillsGood interpersonal skills and ability to function independentlyDrivers licenceMedically Fit for undergroundAbility to work shifts
