We refer candidates to our partner that collaborates with world’s leading AI research labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models.Position: ML Engineering Intern - ContractorType: Hourly ContractCompensation: $35–$70/hourLocation: RemoteDuration: Project-based, with potential extensions based on research needsCommitment: 10-40 hour/weekRole ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain GitHub-based project infrastructure including continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) workflowsSet up and manage containerized environments using Docker and related toolsDevelop and integrate coding tool environments that enable agents to interact via command line interfaces (CLI) and APIsSupport reinforcement learning (RL) and large language model (LLM) research experiments and prototype developmentHandle data collection, preprocessing, and analysis supporting ML projectsCollaborate asynchronously with research teams adapting to changing project requirementsDocument workflows, experimental results, and infrastructure clearly and reproduciblyIdeal QualificationsBackground in machine learning, reinforcement learning, or relevant courseworkExperience with LLM or RL-related projects or contributions (e.g., GitHub repositories)Proficiency with Docker, CLI tooling, and GitHub project/project managementExperience building integrations and managing data pipelines and analyticsComfortable balancing engineering-heavy tasks with research activitiesAbility to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous startup-like environmentsPrior research lab or team project experience is a plusApplication ProcessUpload resumeAI interview based on your resume (15 min)Submit form
