comSUMMARYMorrison Avenue Capital Partners, a $1B+ leading sponsor of multifamily real estate developmentand acquisitions, is seeking a seasoned real estate professional with exceptional business development capabilities and proven success in multifamily and land originations to lead deal prospecting efforts across the Southeast. The candidate will plug into an established acquisitions strategy and relationship network pursuing multiple capitalized strategies, direct all business development activities for the firm across its entire geography, and work closely with the executive leadership, acquisitions, and capital markets teams in support of multiple strategic initiatives.
A successful candidate will update the plan to grow MACP opportunities, track that plan during execution, and ultimately deliver growth in the form of actionable acquisition opportunities. The ideal candidate will have mastery of industry-standard underwriting tools, as well as the ability to implement new tools and technologies as they develop. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIESBuild on the firm’s stellar reputation by developing channels (brokers, sellers, marketing campaigns, etc. ) to source new multifamily acquisition and land development opportunities. Establish, develop, and foster quality business relationships with all industry participants in the multifamily property markets across the Southeast.
Travel to cultivate and expand our network. Understand all aspects of individual deal terms and market specific details to maintain high level of efficiency during prospecting efforts, including staying abreast of market movements and capital markets. Perform the initial feasibility of sourced opportunities including financial analysis, modeling, and valuations. Lead efforts in creating and implementing the Company’s strategic business plan. Present potential opportunities to the CEO for initial approval and assist in pitching MACP Leadership Team and MACP Advisory Board. Manage negotiations and communications with sellers and brokers while supporting the closing of real estate transactions.
Attend and participate in major industry organizations and conferences. QUALIFICATIONSEstablished track record of sourcing, analyzing, and closing on multifamily assets in the Southeastern US ideal for this role, and years of acquisitions experience in the broader real estate market required. Identify as a self-starter and self-directed dealmaker. Highly effective networker with the ability to build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients/partners and sellers/buyers of real estate. Maintains a high level of professionalism, leadership, and analytical skills. Working knowledge of leasing, accounting, development, and operations of multifamily projects. Strong multi-tasking, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Ability to set personal and project priorities and demonstrate strong organizational skills in dayto-day and long-term planning and execution. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
