DescriptionHomebased within FirstBank Footprint. Summary: The Mortgage Disclosure Specialist is responsible for preparing and reviewing initial and re-disclosures for all mortgage loan types, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and investor regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of TRID and RESPA guidelines. The specialist will work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of disclosures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Prepare initial compliance disclosures and subsequent re-disclosures for all mortgage loan types, including Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA. Monitor loan pipelines and collaborate with staff to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of fees. Ensure compliance with bank policies and federal, state, and local regulations across multiple states. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of RESPA guidelines and regulatory changes. Communicate with Loan Officers, Processors, and other departments to confirm disclosure accuracy and provide feedback when modifications are needed. Review and validate TRID disclosures, including APR and Non-APR fields. Additional Responsibilities Assist with audits or internal reviews related to disclosure compliance. Support training efforts for new staff on disclosure procedures and systems. Education And/or Experience Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the mortgage industry. Experience with IDS Closing Documents, Ellie Mae Docs, and Encompass 360. Knowledge of TRID and RESPA regulations. Skills And Abilities Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Keeping attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. Respectful demeanor that promotes a positive and professional work environment. Understanding of and compliance with bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to job duties, including completion of compliance training and reporting of any violations or suspicious activity.
