Starting with the role: Currently, we are searching to hire an Accountant who will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations and control activities of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
This role ensures that supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently, in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Accountant will also support month-end closing activities, reconciliations, and provides administrative and analytical assistance to senior accounting staff. This is a developmental role offering strong exposure to procurement, finance operations, and internal controls. During your day you will:
Assist in the recording and posting of supplier invoices, ensuring proper PO matching and approvalsFollow up on unmatched or parked invoices and liaise with Procurement and Operations teamsSupport vendor statement reconciliations and assist in resolving discrepanciesMaintain accurate and organized records for audit and control purposesSupport the preparation of monthly accruals and reconciliations of P2P-related accountsAssist in GR/IR account monitoring and clearingEnsure compliance with internal accounting policies and P2P proceduresHelp prepare documentation for internal and external auditsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives related to invoice processing and AP workflowsWhat you need to stand out:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization would be considered a plus. 2-3 years of experience in general ledger accountingStrong understanding of accounting principlesWorking knowledge of SAP functionalities and processes. Excellent communications skills both verbal and written, in Greek and English languages. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc). Analytical thinking. Team player.
