The successful candidate will report to the Master Materials Scheduler at Nederburg ProductionKey Performance Areas Include (but Are Not Limited To)Implement Purchasing Policies and ProceduresImplement Purchasing Policies and ProceduresEnsure all supplier communication follows approved channels, procedures, and documentation.Create and confirm Purchase Orders (POs) prior to delivery of goods or services.Ensure compliance with Group Purchasing Supplier Contracts and company procurement policies.Conduct monthly vendor ratings and provide feedback to Group Purchasing.MRO Procurement Execution Manage the procurement of MRO goods and services for the Paarl Cluster, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance. Review purchase requisitions for authorization, accuracy, and cost allocation. Source quotations, assess offers, and award business in line with agreed supplier allocations or competitive sourcing when required.Place and track orders, ensuring clear communication of delivery dates to suppliers.Protective Clothing ManagementOversee the ordering and coordination of protective clothing (PPE) for the Paarl Cluster.Forecast requirements in collaboration with line managers and ensure timely replenishment.Monitor supplier performance, quality compliance, and delivery accuracy for PPE.Supplier Management and ExpeditingProactively contact suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and manage any deviations.Expedite delayed deliveries to avoid disruption to operations.Maintain and update open purchase orders, delivery dates, and supplier communication.Foster strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement.Coupa System ResponsibilitiesProcess requisitions and purchase orders accurately through Coupa, ensuring alignment with Heineken procurement policies.Validate supplier details, cost centers, and GL allocations in the Coupa system.Support end-users with Coupa-related queries and provide training or guidance where necessary.Monitor approval workflows and ensure timely processing of purchase requests.Maintain data accuracy and compliance within the Coupa platform.Administration, Compliance, and ReportingMaintain an up-to-date filing system of procurement records, contracts, and communications.Ensure compliance with QMS, Risk, and Safety policies.Meet weekly and monthly reporting deadlines.Participate in team meetings and actively support innovation and business improvement initiatives.ICC ( Internal Control & Compliance) ResponsibilitiesMRP Buyer Stand-In ResponsibilitiesSupport material availability for production when standing in for the MRP Buyer.Collaborate with Planning, Production, and Logistics to ensure continuous material flow.Assist with order placements and supplier follow-ups to meet production schedulesThe Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skillsTertiary qualification /NQF 6 (Focussing on Supply Chain Management and or Purchasing1-3 Years working experience in a procurement & buying environmentCompetency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.Working knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) on an ERP suite (working knowledge of MRP on SAP MM),Good verbal and written communication skills.Previous experience in procurement & buying environmentSound interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure.Willingness to work extended hours if and when required.Ability to analyse, interpret and compute sets of dataAbility to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in an organized and structured manner.The Company’s approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
