About UsThe Electromagnetic Innovation (EMi) Lab is part of the Advanced Electric Power & Energy Conversion (AEPEC) Research Centre at the University of Cape Town. We develop next-generation wireless power transfer technologies for micromobility applications, including e-scooters, drones, micro-EVs, and underwater vehicles, as well as electromagnetic actuation and energy harvesting systems.
