The Environmental Management Laboratory (EML) at Mykolas Romeris University, led by Prof. Dr. Paulo Pereira, is looking for an independent, motivated and talented researcher to join its team and integrate multiple ongoing projects. The candidate must be willing to give continuity to the excellent scientific track of the group, which is very much focused on scientific publishing. The researcher will be involved in multiple tasks within national and international projects as well as other day-to-day activities, including intensive fieldwork.
The core characteristic of the EML its multidisciplinary approach with a strong focus on physical geography and environmental management covering both terrestrial and aquatic systems. Â Qualifications: Master in in one of the following fields:
Geography (Physical), Geoinformatics, Environmental Sciences, EcologyProficiency in spatial analysis using GIS tools and geospatial analysisKnowledge of Remote (Satellite) and Proximal (UAV) SensingProficiency in statistical analysisExperience in Ecosystem Services mapping and assessment Experience stakeholder involvement/engagement processesProfessional proficiency in English language (Lithuanian language knowledge is desirable but not a must)Responsibilities: Conduct independent research on topics related to spatial analysis and ecosystem servicesContribute to necessary tasks on multiple projects Contribute fieldwork campaigns (physical robustness necessary)Contribute (independently) to scientific publications and project reportsParticipate in national and international conferencesParticipates in project writing What We Offer:
