National Service (Only) - NSS Quality & Feedstock Analyst – Ghana

AfriSAF upcycles agricultural residues into high-value products such as waste mango seeds for butter, waste okra for their seed oil, and other sustainable commodities. We work closely with farmers, processors, and buyers to ensure consistent quality and maximise yield. Role Overview: We are seeking an NSS-eligible graduate to join our operations team as a Quality & Feedstock Analyst. This role will focus on analysing the moisture content and quality of various feedstocks, interpreting test results, and recommending corrective or preventive actions to optimise both product volume and quality.

The position also involves evaluating and maintaining laboratory testing equipment and supporting the adaptation of operational processes for better efficiency and output. Key Responsibilities: Conduct moisture, oil content, FFA, impurity, and particle size analysis using standard methods (oven, halogen, IR, titration, etc. ). Maintain accurate logs of results, analyse trends, and highlight quality deviations. Recommend process adjustments based on test data to improve yield and consistency. Support procurement, installation, calibration, and maintenance of quality testing equipment. Develop and follow SOPs for sampling, testing, and lab safety. Collaborate with operations to trial process changes and monitor their impact.

Provide clear reports and insights. Requirements: NSS-eligible graduate in Food Science, Agricultural or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, or related discipline. Hands-on experience with laboratory quality testing and documentation. Strong analytical skills to interpret results and link findings to operational improvements. Knowledge of upcycled product processing is a plus. Commitment to safe working practices and accurate reporting.
