About the Role:A respected private educational institution in Middelburg is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Natural Sciences Teacher to join their high school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Grade 8–9 Natural Sciences curriculum, fostering curiosity and critical thinking, and preparing learners for academic success. Key Responsibilities Include:Teach Natural Sciences to Grades 8–9 learners in accordance with the CAPS (or IEB) curriculumDevelop and implement engaging lesson plans and learning materialsPrepare and assess formal and informal assessments, including tests and projectsMonitor learner progress and provide academic support where neededMaintain a disciplined and inclusive classroom environmentParticipate in school functions, meetings, and professional development activitiesCollaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and academic excellence Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or relevant degree with PGCESpecialisation in Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences, or Life SciencesValid SACE registration Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching Natural Sciences at Senior PhaseProficient in digital teaching tools and platforms Preferred Attributes Include:Experience with CAPS or IEB curriculumStrong classroom management and communication skillsPassion for science education and learner developmentAbility to inspire curiosity and critical thinkingTeam-oriented and committed to continuous professional growth
