Company DescriptionWildlife Wonders is a unique social enterprise and ecotourism destination located just 5 km outside Apollo Bay, in the scenic Otways of Victoria, Australia. Visitors are guided on a remarkable 75-minute walk through vibrant tree fern gullies, serene eucalypt woodlands, and stunning ocean landscapes. Led by expert conservationist guides, these walks provide a deep insight into the native plants and animals that inhabit the Otways and promote local conservation programs All profits contribute directly to the Conservation Ecology Centre, dedicated to preserving Australia’s unique biodiversity within the Otways region.Role DescriptionThis is a casual position for a Nature Guide based in Victoria, Australia. The Nature Guide will lead engaging, informative, and safe guided tours, sharing information about the diverse plants, animals, and ecosystems of the Otways. Responsibilities also include maintaining the integrity of the walking trails, ensuring visitor safety, answering questions, and delivering memorable guest experiences while promoting conservation efforts. Collaboration with team members and support in maintaining an eco-friendly and educational visitor attraction will also be a part of the role.QualificationsKnowledge of and passion for environmental conservation, Australian flora and fauna, and ecologyStrong communication, storytelling, and public speaking abilities to engage diverse audiencesExperience in guided tours, environmental education, or hospitality is highly desirableGeneral physical fitness and ability to lead walking tours (1.4km)Ability to ensure and prioritize visitor safety and comfortFirst aid certification and familiarity with safety protocols in outdoor environments is a plusFlexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and public holidaysPlease email for further information or to apply: lizzie@conservationecologycentre.orgNB Applications must be made via direct email.
