Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily grocery department operations, supervising team members, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for customers. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, retail experience, and a passion for customer service. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of grocery associates, including stocking, facing, rotation, pricing, and inventory checks. Maintain accurate inventory levels by coordinating stock counts, monitoring product movement, and minimizing shrink.

Order, receive, and merchandise grocery products, ensuring proper handling and accurate records. Oversee product displays and merchandising in alignment with company promotions, planograms, and seasonal changes. Monitor expiration dates and ensure items are fresh, properly labeled, and rotated according to food safety standards. Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of shelves, coolers, storage areas, and backstock. Uphold safety, sanitation, and loss prevention standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies. Assist in managing department budgets and expenses while identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and product requests promptly and professionally to ensure high customer satisfaction. Lead, coach, and provide performance feedback to staff, setting clear expectations and maintaining a professional example. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members, including customer service best practices and conflict resolution. Operate and troubleshoot POS systems, scanners, and related equipment as needed. Communicate with store management and other department supervisors regarding updates, goals, and initiatives. Participate in supervisor meetings and contribute ideas to improve department operations and the overall customer experience. Qualifications:

Associate degree or equivalent (required); post-secondary education in retail or business (preferred). 2+ years of experience in grocery retail, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong organizational and time management skills.  Strong attention to detail, especially in inventory accuracy and product rotation. Experience using retail management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting, inventory tracking, and scheduling (preferred). Experience with Odoo ERP or similar inventory/retail management platforms is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
