Join us in Singapore and be at the forefront of managing one of the world's most critical Subsea and DWDM transmission networks.Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subsea & International Transmission Network Operations Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This pivotal role involves 24/7 surveillance, fault management, service provisioning, and escalation handling for our critical Subsea, DWDM, and SDH network infrastructure. If you thrive on technical challenges and excel in a high-stakes, international operations environment, this is your opportunity to drive network excellence for a global telecommunications leader.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Network Operations Engineer, you will be the main point of contact and technical expert for ensuring the maximum availability and performance of our international transmission network. Your core responsibilities include:Fault & Performance Management: Proactively perform network monitoring, diagnose complex faults across Subsea, DWDM, and SDH networks, and efficiently manage the end-to-end Trouble Ticket (TT) lifecycle to resolution.International Coordination & Escalation: Act as the primary liaison between our Singapore hub, the Mumbai NOC, and global Cable Landing Station (CLS) Engineers to coordinate rapid fault clearance and restoration activities, adhering strictly to global work instructions and meeting stringent SLAs.Service Provisioning & Configuration: Execute the activation and provisioning of new network services based on Work Orders. Ensure meticulous quality control through rigorous testing, and accurately log all network changes into the Configuration OSS database/tool.Critical Reporting: Maintain and deliver crucial performance reports, including MTTR (Mean Time To Restore), MIT (Mean Interruption Time), and RFO (Reason For Outage) reports, to meet defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Subsea Cable Operations: Serve as the focal point for all Subsea Transmission network queries. Coordinate with CLSs during cable faults, manage planned restoration/normalization activities, and organize critical tests like COTDR.Network Maintenance & Improvement: Participate in scheduled planned works, manage DCN (Data Communication Network) setups, and develop immediate workarounds/alternatives to minimize network downtime.Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain meticulous case histories and documentation within the ticketing database to ensure operational continuity and robust knowledge management.What You'll BringEssential Experience & Qualifications:Experience: 3-8 years of hands-on experience in Network Operations, preferably within a NOC environment.Education: B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication (preferred) or a related technical field.Specialized Domain Knowledge: Proven working experience in Subsea Cable NOC operations or within a Cable Landing Station environment.Transmission Expertise: Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) and ROADM (Reconfigurable Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer) systems.Vendor Exposure: Familiarity with Subsea and Transmission systems from major vendors such as Alcatel, Ciena, NEC, Tyco, Infinera, and Xtera.Communication: Excellent command of English with strong verbal and written communication skills to manage internal and external escalations effectively.Desirable Skills:Knowledge of Cloud technology principles.Basic understanding of IP/Internet technology.Exposure to programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and efficiency.
