Network Engineer L1

Job Title: Network Engineer – L1Location: Navi MumbaiJob Type: Full-TimeExperience: 0.6 – 2 YearsBudget: Up to 3.5 LPAJob OverviewWe are looking for a motivated and technically sound L1 Network Engineer to provide first-level support for network operations, troubleshooting, and monitoring. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of networking technologies and a willingness to learn and grow within the team.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor network performance, alerts, and incidents using NMS tools. Perform first-level troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, Router, Switch, and Firewall related incidents. Log, track, and resolve tickets as per SLA guidelines. Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation. Provide support for network outages and coordinate with ISP vendors as needed. Assist in installation, configuration & maintenance of basic network devices. Perform routine health checks for network devices and services. Maintain network documentation, inventory, and incident reports. Support end-users with connectivity issues (Wi-Fi/LAN/VPN). Ensure adherence to change management and IT security policies. Required Skills & KnowledgeBasic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Routing & Switching concepts. Hands-on exposure to Cisco or similar network devices (routers/switches). Knowledge of firewalls (Fortigate / Palo Alto / Cisco ASA) – basic understanding is sufficient. Understanding of LAN cabling, patching, and basic hardware troubleshooting. Familiarity with ticketing systems and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix – optional). Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. QualificationsBE / B.Tech / Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field. CCNA certification (preferred) or training completed.
