Network Engineer

OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in data center, hosting, and cloud networking. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and at least 1–2 years in web or cloud hosting environments. This role requires advanced troubleshooting abilities, strong customer communication, and the ability to work in a dynamic, SLA-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesNetworking OperationsManage and maintain enterprise-grade network environments across data center, hosting, and cloud infrastructuresConfigure, deploy, and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and MPLSImplement and support VPN technologies such as IPSec, SSL, GRE, site-to-site, and remote access VPNsWork with switching technologies, including STP, EtherChannel, and VXLANPerform network segmentation, optimization, and security hardeningHosting & Data Center NetworkingAdminister DNS services (Bind, PowerDNS, Anycast)Manage hosting protocols, including HTTP(S), SMTP, and FTP/SFTP in production environmentsConfigure and maintain load balancers such as Nginx, HAProxy, or hardware-based LB (F5, Citrix)Support multi-tenant environments with isolated client networkingCloud NetworkingDesign and manage VPCs, subnets, peering, NAT gateways, and VPN gatewaysWork with cloud networking tools across AWS, Azure, VMware NSX, or similarSupport hybrid connectivity between on-prem and cloud infrastructuresNetwork SecurityAdminister enterprise firewalls, including Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etcSupport DDoS mitigation strategies and basic WAF implementationConfigure IDS/IPS tools and participate in security monitoring and triageApply Zero-Trust principles and segmentation strategiesAutomation & MonitoringCreate scripts and automation using Python, Bash, or AnsibleManage monitoring and event systems such as Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, ELK, etcBuild reporting dashboards and proactive alerting systemsTroubleshooting & SupportPerform deep-dive diagnostics using packet captures, traceroute, Wireshark, etcHandle Level 3 escalations from NOC and customer operationsWork within 24/7 operations, rotation, and shift-based schedulesRequired Skills & QualificationsExperience: 3–5 years in networking, with exposure to hosting or cloud-based environmentsCertifications: One or more of the following is required:CCNA R&S (EI), CCNP R&S (EI)CCNA DC, CCNP DCJNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT/SP, JNCIP-ENTVendor Experience: Hands-on experience with:Cisco Catalyst & NexusJuniper EX / QFX / MX series Preferred experience with:Arista or Mellanox data center switchesSoft SkillsStrong English communication skills, especially for client-facing rolesAbility to explain complex network issues to technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong documentation skills for configurations, SOPs, and incident reportingTeam player, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hosting ecosystemAbility to work across multiple time zonesWork EnvironmentGlobal hosting and cloud infrastructure environmentSLA-driven operations with direct customer impactPositive and collaborative international culture with strong team supportPowered by JazzHRZ1U4Hg5RDx
