Network Manager

I’m partnering with a forward-thinking electricity distribution company on the South Island that’s looking for a Network Operational Systems Lead - someone who can take ownership of their operational technology (OT) systems and play a key role in delivering a secure, reliable, and future-ready network.This is a hands-on technical role leading the management and enhancement of SCADA, ADMS, and communications systems - the backbone of their smart grid infrastructure. You’ll collaborate closely with IT and operational teams to ensure the network operates efficiently and safely, while driving innovation and continuous improvement.What you’ll be doing:Administering and supporting SCADA and ADMS platforms to maintain operational performance.Managing and configuring Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) and communications networks.Ensuring data accuracy through GIS model validation and network mapping.Coordinating with internal teams and vendors to deliver system upgrades and integration projects.Identifying automation and process improvement opportunities to enhance reliability and performance.What you’ll bring:Proven experience with operational technology systems such as SCADA and/or ADMS.Strong understanding of real-time control systems, field device communication, and integration protocols (DNP3, Modbus, IEC61850).Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical preferred).Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability with a collaborative, solutions-driven approach.Why this role:This is a chance to step into a key technical leadership position with an organisation that’s investing heavily in modernisation and smarter energy delivery.
