Network & Telecom Engineer

Request:The scope includes IP Telephony, Voice Gateway, Call Center, SIP Trunking, Video Conference, and Unified Communications systems. The engineer will handle complex incidents, support telecommunication-related projects, and contribute to system improvement and optimization initiatives.Educational QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Relevant Knowledge and ExpertiseStrong understanding of VoIP, SIP, RTP, PSTN, IVR, Call Routing, Codec, and Quality of Service for voice and video communications.Preferred certifications: VoIP/IP Telephony/SIP Specialist, CCNP Collaboration (or equivalent), ITIL Foundation.Knowledge of AWS/Azure network fundamentals is an advantage, especially for cloud-based telephony integration.SkillsProficient in operating, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting VoIP, SIP, PSTN, Call Center, and Video Conference systems.Hands-on experience with Cisco Call Manager, Avaya, Asterisk, or equivalent platforms.Skilled in log analysis, traffic tracing, and optimizing voice/video quality.Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.Scripting skills (Bash/Python) for automation and reporting are a plus.Relevant ExperienceMinimum 3–5 years of experience in operating, deploying, or managing IP-based telecommunication systems in medium to large organizations.Experience with Cisco, Avaya, Asterisk, AudioCodes, or Yeastar telephony solutions.Experience in implementing or maintaining Call Center, IPPBX, Video Conference, or Unified Communications systems is preferred.
