Contract: 6-Month Contract (with possibility of extension) Compensation: Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission, plus Fuel Allowance Location: South Africa (Region: ___) Reports to: Sales DirectorPurpose of the RoleTo drive new business acquisition across mobile, fixed, IoT, cloud and digital solutions in the telecommunications sector. The role focuses on identifying and closing new accounts, building strong commercial relationships, and delivering high-value solutions that support business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesProactively identify, prospect and secure new business clients within SME, Corporate and Enterprise segments.Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking through CRM systems.Engage with key decision-makers (IT Managers, CIOs, Procurement, Business Owners) to understand needs and propose tailored telecom solutions.Prepare presentations, proposals and detailed costings for clients.Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions and commercial terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders.Achieve monthly and quarterly new business acquisition targets, including revenue, margin and number of new accounts.Coordinate with the operations, provisioning, product and support teams to ensure seamless handover and onboarding of newly signed clients.Analyse market trends, competitor offerings and changes in telecoms products, pricing and coverage.Submit weekly reports, pipeline updates and accurate sales forecasts.Minimum RequirementsMatric (Grade 12) – compulsoryHigher Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business, IT, or TelecommunicationsMinimum 3 years Telco industry experience in a direct sales or account management roleProven track record of hitting or exceeding new business sales targetsStrong understanding of telecom products:Business mobile contractsFixed connectivity (Fibre, SD-WAN, Wireless)IoT and SIM managementCloud, security and SaaS solutionsValid driver’s licence + reliable transportProficient in CRM tools and Microsoft OfficePreferred/Advantageous ExperienceExisting network of contacts in the telecoms or ICT marketExperience selling multi-network or MVNO-type productsExposure to enterprise tendering and procurement processesExperience selling cybersecurity, cloud, or IoT-based mobility solutionsKey CompetenciesStrong hunter mentality – driven by closing dealsExcellent communication and presentation skillsCommercial negotiation skillsHigh resilience, discipline and ability to work independentlyProfessional, well-spoken and client-facingAble to manage multiple opportunities and long sales cyclesContract & Remuneration6-month fixed-term contract, with potential extension based on performanceBasic salary + uncapped commission (performance-driven structure)Fuel allowance provided to support fieldwork and client visitsCommission payable on new business onlyNo cap on quarterly earningsWorking ConditionsHybrid work structure depending on client engagement requirementsDaily fieldwork and client visitsFast-paced, target-driven sales environmentOccasional travel between provinces if needed
