Here are your primary responsibilities:Develop and execute regional commodity strategies aligned with global objectives, ensuring consistency across all sites.Lead procurement of direct materials through strategic supplier relationships, both domestically and internationally.Collaborate with the Global Procurement Team to align sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and lead negotiations.Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and industry developments; advise business on pricing, supply risks, and capacity changes.Identify and qualify new sources in partnership with R&D.Support global procurement initiatives and contribute to cross-regional commodity strategies.Drive process improvements by integrating best practices across sourcing functions.Translate global market dynamics into actionable strategies for supplier management, risk mitigation, and cost control.Develop procurement plans that maximize value, minimize working capital and ensure supply reliability.Partner with Site Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to enhance business performance.Resolve cost, quality, and delivery issues in collaboration with site and regional teams.Manage supplier selection and negotiate approximately $75 million in annual purchases.Establish contractual purchasing agreements in compliance with corporate policy, while exercising full authority over supplier selection and pricing strategy.What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities):Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related business discipline (or equivalent experience).Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in the chemical industry, preferably in commodity or specialty chemicals.Strong understanding of procurement and commodity management methodologies.Proven success in leading sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations.Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.Self-starter with a track record of driving initiatives and delivering results.Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.SAP experience preferred.Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.Are you ready to help us build a better tomorrow and put your fingerprints on the world?
