Job Description

We are looking for a QA Scientist to join our team. Are you passionate about applying your scientific background to help develop cutting edge new medicines? The Novo Nordisk Foundation Cellerator is advancing the cell therapy ecosystem in Denmark by establishing and operating a state-of-the-art process development and GMP manufacturing facility in Lyngby just north of Copenhagen. The mission is to accelerate the progress of cell-based therapies toward clinical trials globally for the benefit of patients in need of novel cell therapies to treat and cure serious conditions. The Cellerator will operate as a philanthropic entity dedicated to the development and manufacturing of cell-based therapies, serving both academic institutions and the industry alike.

The JobYou will be part of the quality team which is a small team consisting of very experienced people. You will get an excellent opportunity to learn about quality and GMP and a unique chance to participate and help to develop and implement quality in a world class facility. Initially, while we are building the Cellerator facility your tasks will include:

Participate in the implementation of the Cellerator Quality Management System (both IT solution and SOPs)Help to handle training including documentation for performed trainingReview and approve qualification protocols and reports and other related documentationRepresent QA in risk assessment workshopsWhen the Cellerator facility is operational your tasks will also include:

Evaluate and approve GMP changes and deviationsAs a QA review and approve production related documentation such as master batch records and executed batch recordsAs a QA review and approve new standard operating proceduresAs a QA review and approve analytical methods and analytical method qualificationsParticipate in the qualification of new suppliers and new materialsThe content of the job will develop as you develop your skills. About YouWe imagine you have: a MSc or PhD in the field of cell therapy, cell biology, stem cell biology, stem cell engineering or closely related field.

2-3 years' experience from industry (pharmaceutical company, biotech company, contract manufacturing organisation, clinical research organisation)Solid hands on (laboratory) experience within cell biology or a closely related field from academiaExperience from industry to work in a team settingExperience with at least some relevant technologies for example flow cytometry, functional assays, cell-based assays, Next generation sequencing, ddPCR and other relevant molecular biology technologiesExperience with Good Manufacturing Practise or other GxP areas is a plus however on the job training will be provided to cover any gapsAs a member of our team, you will be in a dynamic and rapidly evolving field, where new challenges and opportunities arise regularly.
