EducationHigh School Diploma - PreferredExperience1 Year Clinical - PreferredLicense & CertificationPatient Care Technician (PCT) Certicate or Nursing Student who has completed fundamentals of nursing - RequiredAdult CPR traing every two years to include CPR (one rescuer) and adult FBAO (Foreign Body Airway Obstruction). Course attendance and demonstration - Required Basic Life Support (BLS) - RequiredCore Job FunctionsComplies with regulatory guidelines for work area and professional practice. Communicates patient safety risks to appropriate providers. Performs interventions under the direction of the RN/LPN.Patients are identified per guidelines and patient care interventions are provided under the direction of the RN/LPN. Accurately obtains and documents patient assessments according to hospital/ department guidelines.Assists in procedures/ exams as directed. Obtains necessary supplies, equipment, and/ or personnel as needed. Communicates data by timely documentation and reporting of abnormal or patient status change to RN/LPN.
