Role SummaryNuuly is looking for a Buying Operations Coordinator! You will support Merchandise Assistants, Assistant Buyers and Associate Buyers in the daily operational functions of all apparel categories at Nuuly Rent. The Buying Operations Coordinator will be responsible for issuing, revising, and tracking purchase orders. In this role you will develop cross-functional relationships with buyers, internal partners, and market vendors. Exceptional organization and communication skills, attention to detail, with the ability to filter and prioritize feedback and requests are keys to success in this role.Role ResponsibilitiesProduct Responsibilities: Issuing Purchase Orders and TrackingAccurately enter and manage purchase orders in Island PacificExecute PO revisions in a timely mannerEnsure timely delivery of merchandise through consistent communication, tracking and follow-up with the vendors, production, DC and buying teamAlert buyers to any costing or timing ramifications coming from purchase order changesPrioritize issuing Own Brand purchase orders when necessaryManage end of week PO pushouts and close POs with straggling unitsEmail Communication Answer all emails promptly and in an organized fashionVendor CommunicationAct as liaison between the vendor and the buyer; responsible for all vendor follow-up regarding tracking and deliveriesExhibits strong vendor communication skills and enforces vendor compliance rules; partners with buyer, vendor compliance and necessary other stakeholders to make exceptions when necessaryLeadership and Team ManagementAttend Monday Business Review and monthly Open to Buy meetings, participating and providing insight and perspective where relevantIdentify challenges, problems or opportunities and assist in creating solutions within Buying OperationsExhibit a high sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple prioritiesMaintain a positive, collaborative relationship with the Buying and Planning teams toward common goals for the merchandise areaMaintain positive, professional communication in emails and interpersonally, respond clearly and in a timely manner to emails, can prioritize emails and communicate what can or cannot be done and when it can be expectedRole QualificationsUnderstanding or interest in retail, e-commerce backend operations and logistics, and/or merchandisingExceptional organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to organize information and manage multiple projectsAbility to work efficiently on a deadlineEager to learn new skills and systems, ability to prioritize and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentSelf-motivated and comfortable working independently with a sense of urgency while supporting company goals and objectives.Fan of the URBN family of brands with an understanding of the customerEnthusiastic about Nuuly and motivating in communication styleA team player with the ability to provide leadership, training and motivation to employees and peersAbility to partner and collaborate with cross functional teams with an understanding of everyone's objectives. Requires basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google SheetsLI-MH3The PerksURBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
