Responsible for leading the implementation of Greater China strategies for Freight Management Systems (FMS) and client consolidation, aligning strategies with other functions.Formal leadership duties that include multiple teams and groups. More senior leaders may serve as a lead to peers or other roles on a formal or informal basis.Key Accoutabilities1Providing leadership to the function in the implementation and alignment of global/ regional /Greater China strategies and programs to develop and enhance FMS & Client Consolidation that align with the company business plan and global operational strategies; provides input to leaders in developing operational and related business strategies.2Leading, establishing and ensuring communication with other executives, customers, groups, regions, and vendors to identify targeted programs, desired outcomes, attendees and resources required. 3Leading the management of expectations for executives and leaders, facilitates communication on business requirements and establishes critical performance metrics.4Examining and implementing best practices to improve FMS & Client Consolidation performance by defining milestones, approaches, delivery, feedback and measurement. 5Addressing and responding to critical resolution or escalation items that present a risk to the business within FMS & Client Consolidation; oversees the resolution of daily or less sensitive conflicts. 6Ensuring staff and resources are efficient and effective to achieve operational commitments and quality levels; interacts and assists leaders on escalated needs or concerns. 7Leading the development, implementation and interpretation of country policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; receives legal guidance and interpretation when required8Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Experience & SkillsCollege, professional or university degree in supply chain, business administration or related functional area or equivalent education and experience is often accepted. Advanced education past college is often preferred.Understanding and success in the implementation of FMS/ Client Consolidation programs and strategies.Leading formal and informal teams and staffExperienced in financial and resources management (P & L, balance sheet, forecasting, budgets, and allocations).Thorough understanding of ocean products and related operational and business requirements and best practices.Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, presentation, influencing and negotiating skills.Developing, implementing and interpreting policies and procedures as well as applicable laws, rules and regulations.Operating in a both a team and individual contributor environment.Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction
