Then join the BSM family!We’re looking forward to meeting you!Offshore Catering OfficerThe Offshore Catering Officer is a newly established shore-based position responsible for overseeing all catering and housekeeping operations on offshore installations and vessels. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive standards forward, establish new processes, and shape the future of offshore hospitality services. Frequent travel onboard is required to supervise operations and ensure consistent quality and compliance.Job objectives/ Key Accountabilities: Coordinate all catering areas, including housekeeping and guest services. Liaise with procurement and controlling departments. Prepare duty rosters and manage shift schedules. Actively recruit offshore catering and housekeeping staff in cooperation with internal manning agencies. Continuously analyze local resource market conditions. Ensure high quality standards in catering and service. Manage catering and housekeeping personnel, including training, motivation, and performance evaluation. Monitor and plan all budgets, cost control, and resource planning. Implement and enforce the Catering/Housekeeping Manual. Implement and monitor safety and hygiene standards onboard. Plan global provisioning and logistics. Communicate with ship management and external service providers. Handle guest complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction. Train staff on hygiene standards. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards. Requirements Diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a comparable qualification. Minimum 3 years of experience in offshore catering, hospitality, or the cruise industry. Knowledge of international hygiene and food safety standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills. High flexibility and resilience in an international environment. Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage. Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, personnel management, and hygiene guidelines.
