Job Description

Our ProfileIn 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown. To Ensure The Achievement Of This Large-scale Project, G Mining Ventures Is Looking For An Experienced And Motivated Individual To Fill The Position OfGeologistWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mines Geologist to join our dynamic mining team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting geological surveys, analyzing data, and providing expert guidance to support the efficient extraction of minerals and resources. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safety, maximizing resource extraction, and optimizing the overall mining process. Key ResponsibilitiesGeological Surveying: Conduct geological mapping, drilling, and sampling programs to assess mineral deposits and determine the most efficient extraction methods. Resource Modeling: Analyze geological data, including core logs and geophysical surveys, to build 3D geological models and estimate mineral resources. Site Assessment:

Evaluate mine sites, identify geological hazards, and assist in the planning and design of mine layouts. Data Analysis & Reporting: Interpret geological data and prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for mine operations. Collaboration: Work closely with mining engineers, environmental specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure effective mine planning, development, and operations. Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all geological activities adhere to safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices. Drill Hole Planning & Supervision: Oversee drilling programs, sample collection, and analysis of core samples for mineral resource assessment. Technical Support:

Provide geotechnical advice and recommendations regarding mine stability, pit design, and ground control measures. Qualifications/Skills And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering At least 2 years of experience in a mining environment, with experience in geological modeling, exploration, or resource estimation. Technical Skills: Proficient in geological software such as [mention relevant software], GIS, and other data analysis tools. Knowledge: Strong understanding of mining geology, mineral exploration techniques, and resource estimation methods.
