Our ProfileIn 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown. To Ensure The Achievement Of This Large-scale Project, G Mining Ventures Is Looking For An Experienced And Motivated Individual To Fill The Position OfMaintenance CoordinatorWe are seeking a highly organized and dedicated Maintenance Coordinator to join our team.

The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of maintenance activities across all mining equipment, machinery, and systems. This role involves planning, scheduling, and overseeing maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage the maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Coordinate with various departments to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities. Work Order Management: Create, track, and close work orders for all maintenance tasks.

Ensure that all maintenance work is logged accurately in the system, and that completion times and costs are documented. Team Coordination & Supervision: Supervise and coordinate maintenance technicians, contractors, and external vendors to ensure that maintenance work is performed efficiently and safely. Provide guidance and support to the team when necessary. Inventory & Parts Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory management of spare parts, tools, and materials required for maintenance tasks. Ensure that stock levels are maintained and that materials are available when needed. Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.

Participate in safety meetings and conduct regular safety audits to ensure a safe working environment. Equipment Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to major failures. Utilize predictive maintenance techniques and data analysis to improve overall equipment reliability. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and downtime. Provide recommendations for improvements to management and other stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and increase the lifespan of equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficiency improvements.

Qualifications/Skills And ExperienceA degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and record-keepingStrong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the mining industry. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and schematics. Working ConditionsPosition based at the OKO Project site. Work Schedule – 14 days on 7 days OffTransport, accommodations, and meals provided on site.
