Job Description

Our ProfileIn 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown. To Ensure The Achievement Of This Large-scale Project, G Mining Ventures Is Looking For An Experienced And Motivated Individual To Fill The Position OfSchedulerWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our Mine Maintenance Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and ensuring the timely completion of maintenance activities and repairs across the mine site. The Scheduler will work closely with maintenance planners, supervisors, and other key stakeholders to optimize resources, reduce downtime, and ensure the highest level of operational efficiency in accordance with safety and regulatory standards. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage schedules for planned and unplanned maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with operational priorities and production goals. Collaborate with maintenance planners and engineers to understand the scope of work and resource requirements for upcoming maintenance activities.

Allocate resources including labor, equipment, and materials to ensure that scheduled tasks are completed on time. Track and update work orders and maintenance requests to ensure timely execution of maintenance activities and repairs. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (e. g. , equipment suppliers, contractors, etc. ) to ensure necessary resources are available for maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards by maintaining accurate documentation and following safety procedures during the scheduling process. Monitor and report on progress of maintenance activities, identifying any delays, obstacles, or risks to completion and proposing corrective actions.

Analyze maintenance trends and performance data to help predict future maintenance needs and proactively adjust schedules accordingly. Assist with backlog management by ensuring that outstanding work orders are appropriately prioritized and scheduled for completion. Maintain accurate records of scheduled and completed maintenance activities, ensuring easy access for future reference. Provide regular updates to supervisors and managers regarding the status of maintenance activities, delays, and any other pertinent information. Qualifications/Skills And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering, mining or related field preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a scheduling, maintenance coordination, or similar role within the mining or heavy industry sector. Technical Skills: Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc. ). Knowledge: Understanding of mining operations and equipment, maintenance practices, and safety regulations. Skills: Strong communication, organization, and time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Certifications (preferred): Relevant certifications in maintenance, project management, or scheduling are an asset (e. g. , PMP, maintenance planning certifications). Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving scheduling conflicts and addressing issues before they impact operations.
