Genitourinary Business Specialist – San Bernardino, CAAstellas is announcing a Genitourinary Business Specialist opportunity in the San Bernardino, CA area.Purpose And ScopeTo ensure the achievement of sales goals in territory by promoting Astellas oncology products and services to physicians and other medical personnel within assigned geography. Educate customers on characteristics, advantages, indicated treatment and all other developments related to promoted products. Professionally represent Astellas in the field and ensure high levels of visibility and customer satisfaction in territory. Maintain effective communication and relationships with key external and internal customers.Flexible pay grade level, based on candidate background and skillset.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesCall on targeted physicians and oncology centers to promote and educate on the use of Astellas products through one-on-one meetings and presentations, professional education programs and other appropriate means. Responsible for ensuring high levels of call and field productivity; expected to meet call plan expectations, with 5 days in the field each week, supported by office time needed for call planning and follow-up, preparing presentations, making appointments, etc.Develop Sales plans and business territory plan activities to support customers using company resources and promotional activities as identified by Oncology Regional Business Manager (ORBM)Utilize clinical knowledge to influence prescribing habitsCoordinate promotional efforts with peers across franchisesAchieve quarterly sales goals within territory while adhering to all ethical sales practices and required regulationsDeliver the highest level of clinical and technical value, helping the healthcare customer meet their unique patient care needs, while operating at all times within regulatory guidelinesEnsure optimum strategy development using territory business planResponsible for accurately reporting sales activities, testing, territory expenses and submitting written reports as necessary by the deadline set forth and defined by Oncology Regional Business ManagerAppropriately manage and maintain all company equipment and promotional materials (company literature, materials, etc.) according to necessary company guidelinesAttend all company-sponsored sales and medical meetings as directed by company management (POA's, National Sales Meetings, Regional and Local Conventions, etc.)Continuous learning on efficient sales and communication techniques and product / therapeutic area trainingQuantitative DimensionsAdditional responsibilities as necessaryDirect impact on obtaining sales attainmentMaintain adequate call coverage at National LevelDeployment of promotional resources at National LevelOrganizational ContextReports to Oncology Regional Business Manager (ORBM)No Direct ReportsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree with minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical salesProven track record of successful sales results and ability to meet or exceed objectivesProven capability in managing accounts with solid selling competenciesDemonstrated business acumen to understand and analyze business and market drivers, and develop and execute business planDemonstrated skills at building and maintaining professional relationships with key customers, office staff and others in the customer influence networkProven ability to work in matrix teamsTravel is requiredValid Driver's License in good standingPreferred Qualifications2+ Years of oncology selling experienceFundamental understanding the oncology reimbursement landscapeWell established relationships with the key oncology cancer centers and treating clinicians in assigned territoryOncology therapeutic area knowledge /experienceBenefitsMedical, Dental and Vision insuranceGenerous Paid Time Off options, including Vacation and Sick time, plus national holidays, including year-end shutdown401(k) Match and Annual Company ContributionCompany Paid Life InsuranceAnnual Corporate Bonus and Quarterly Sales Incentive for eligible positionsLong Term Incentive Plan for eligible positionsReferral bonus programCompensation: $122,500 – 175,000 (NOTE: Final salary could be more or less, commensurate with experience)\All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or on the basis of disability.Category SalesAstellas is committed to equality of opportunity in all aspects of employment.EOE including Disability/Protected Veterans
