Position SummaryThis is a unique opportunity to be an incredibly important part of someone’s recovery journey. We are looking for a Behavioral Health Technician (Recovery Coach) to join our team in our beautiful residential / detox facility near Palm Springs. Our programs are 100% voluntary, and the patients we serve come to us looking for a WOW experience. We are looking for Recovery Coaches that are passionate about making a real difference in our patients’ lives and who are excited about the prospect of helping them discover a new sober life.The Recovery Coach will provide emotional support, help clients create a recovery plan, connect clients with resources for housing, employment and healthcare, and monitor clients’ progress towards their recovery goals. The Recovery Coach has personal experience with recovery, possesses exceptional communication skills and has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals struggling with addiction.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupport clients in their recovery from addiction and guide them towards a satisfying and meaningful lifeHelp clients develop a personalized recovery planConnect clients with resources for housing, employment, education, and healthcareMonitor clients’ progress and adjust recovery plans as neededProvide emotional support and motivationWork closely with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive careParticipate in team meetings and case conferencesMaintain accurate records and report on clients’ statusPerforms all other duties as assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
