Job SummaryThe Assistant Curator will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of the art and cultural programs at One Bangkok. Working as part of the Art & Culture team, they will work alongside the Curators, Artists, Producers, Fabricators, Art Handlers, and other key stakeholders on curating and commissioning the public art collection and other public programs, from curatorial development to management of production and installation, ensuring the projects are on time, on budget, and on scope.Job DescriptionPrincipal AccountabilitiesAssist curators and relevant members of FPMST in curatorial processes related to public art collection and other public programs, including researching, programming, commissioning, and project coordinationContribute to the development of One Bangkok Art & Culture, including the different stages of the concept and programsWork closely with the relevant FPMST staff and key stakeholders to ensure the latest design updates and information are provided for curation, ensuring timely completion of planned activitiesActively plan with curators, artists, and relevant stakeholders on the sequences of development, execution, and installation, as well as deinstallation, of the artworks and public programsLiaise with artists, consultants, and other stakeholders, if necessary, on the commission of artworks and programs, including negotiation, fabrication, transportation, and installationPerform administrative tasks related to approval process, budgeting, production, curatorial processes, and meetings as requiredSupport the team in all events and activities related to curatorial affairs, as well as perform any other ad hoc duties as requiredAssigned projects: Public Art Collection and other public programs (Art Activities)Key QualificationEducation And ExperiencePossess at least a bachelor’s degree in art history, fine arts, curatorial practice, design, architecture, or other related fields with a background in project coordinationHave 3-5 years of experience in planning, coordinating, and implementing content, exhibitions, and other public programs; proven experience in working with art and cultural organizations or galleries would be an advantageSkills And KnowledgeBe able to work independently and cooperatively with others in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrate a high level of ownership and accountability to assigned tasksHave demonstrable skills in managing evolving assignments and prioritiesBe highly organized and detail-oriented, and be able to work well under pressureUnderstand the design and production processes; an understanding of technical drawing and/or technical issues would be an advantageSpatial thinking abilities and a sense of imagination are also needed for the curation of art collection and programs.Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about contemporary art and design; have experience and/or a strong interest in art in the public sphere and public programs will be a plusPreferably be familiar with design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc., with proficiency in Microsoft OfficePossess strong written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and EnglishDiversity brings us closer to the communities we serveGuided by our Purpose, we are creating, inspiring, and nurturing an inclusive culture that unlocks the power of diverse teams to drive Frasers Property forward.
