Role DescriptionThe Online News Desk Editor will be responsible for publishing timely and accurate news content on the company’s website. The role involves writing, editing, and curating news stories, ensuring that all content meets editorial standards and aligns with the company’s tone, style, and journalistic integrity. The editor will independently prepare news reports, monitor trending topics, and collaborate with the newsroom to maintain an active and engaging online presence, coordinate with editors of both print and TV media of the group to deliver better contents for the website.Other SpecificationBachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.Minimum 2–3 years of experience in digital journalism or online news editing.Good understanding of digital publishing tools, CMS (e.g., Word Press).Ability to work independently and handle multiple stories under tight deadlines.Strong news judgment and attention to detail.Fluency in verbal and written communication skills in Nepali, English.Proficient skill in MS Word & Photoshop.Job Description  Post major authentic and up to date news reports onto the company’s website portal with appropriate visuals, headlines, and tags for each story.Update the main events of contemporary issues like political, social, economic issues, ensuring accuracy and relevance.Edit and publish news content received from various sources such as online/news agencies, district reporters, and the marketing team.Write editorials or commentary on current events and emerging issues.Monitor breaking news and trending topics to keep the website timely and engaging.Coordinate with the editorial and technical teams of both print and TV media to maintain smooth and regular updates on the website.
