We ensure our team feels valued and informed about the direction we are heading in through in-house training days and our annual conference.To find out more about us, please visit https://www.nzma.ac.nz/Job DescriptionOnline Tutor - BusinessLocation: Remote - NZFull-time | Permanent | Remote – Anywhere in NZ This is a fully remote full-time permanent role, and we are open to candidates from anywhere within New Zealand.About The RoleAs an Online Tutor - Business, you will directly influence the next generation of aspiring business professionals within New Zealand, as you share your experience, skills and training with students from many backgrounds. In this role, you will be in an energetic online asynchronous learning environment where value is placed on delivering outcomes and student engagement in our business courses which comprise of Business Administration & Technology; Leading Workplace Teams; and Small Business Essentials.Some Of Your Key Responsibilities Will IncludeConnect with students through facilitated asynchronous delivery: through our platform’s forums, messaging and live sessions.Deliver assessments and grade assessments: ensuring students are evaluated to prescribed national and local qualification standards Participate in the continuous improvement of course content and learning resources Be available to give subject related support to your online students, in a caring and encouraging manner via our online learning platform and online communication channels Keep records of accurate student data, assessment results, student participation, student-at-risk and other required documentation Provide basic pastoral care and support to the students. QualificationsAbout you: We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable individual with a strong background and knowledge with Business Management, Business Administration, and/or running a small business, to teach our various business courses. Your own experience will bring theory to life for our online students.You must be enthusiastic, positive, patient, and a motivated self-starter who has a passion for sharing knowledge and trying new things. Your exceptional communication and time management skills, along with the ability to connect and build relationships will be the key to your success!You don’t need any experience in teaching; we will provide you with comprehensive learning and support you with teaching tools to become successful in your online tutor role.Key RequirementsHold at a minimum Level 5 qualification in business, administration, management, or related fieldProven professional experience in business/management/administration.Ideally have experience running a small business with strong grasp of business, business administration, and management.Strong digital literacy with competency in Microsoft 365 Suite A keenness to expand your adult teaching skillset as part of your professional development. Prior teaching experience is not essential but highly advantageousCommitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi.
